Ceilidh Dance newsletter – 2013/14 #2 (note the link icon is not working for me so you will have to copy and paste the links in this newsletter – sorry.)

South Erradale

Summer Isles

Issue #2 already and it is only August 24 (well I started this on Saturday as it will be a very busy day tomorrow.)  This 2nd, abbreviated newsletter is to give you notice of two upcoming events, as well as to remind you that classes will be starting up in a few weeks.   I think the earliest to start will be White Rock on Wednesday, September 4 but most classes will start the week beginning Monday, September 9.   Please check www.rscdsvancouver.org for all class locations and times.

As mentioned last week there was a good deal of interest from the audiences at Dancing in the Park this summer so hopefully all classes will get a few new dancers coming along to check out this fantastic pasttime.    Make sure you remind all your friends to come along and be most welcoming to any and all beginners.

I have inserted a calendar below but it is by no means complete so please check out the Vancouver Branch website at www.rscdsvancouver.org for any current happenings, pictures etc.

As I mentioned it is a very busy weekend and has in fact been a very busy summer with our children and grandchildren.   They all depart tomorrow (2 have already left) so perhaps I will have more time to devote to next week’s newsletter.

Two nice videos for you can be found at:

An Irishman was terribly overweight, so his doctor put him on a diet.

‘I want you to eat regularly for 2 days, then skip a day, and repeat this procedure for 2 weeks.

The next time I see you, you should have lost at least 5 pounds.

When the Irishman returned, he shocked the doctor by having lost nearly 60lbs!

‘Why, that’s amazing!’ the doctor said, ‘Did you follow my instructions?’

The Irishman nodded…’I’ll tell you though, by jaesuz, I t’aut I were going to drop dead on dat 3rd day.’

‘From the hunger, you mean?’ asked the doctor.

 ‘No, from that bloody skipping!!!’
