Am Meallan viewpoint<\/p>\n

For this 3rd Special Edition I have selected some pictures taken by a nephew who lives in Balmain, New South Wales taken on a trip to, where else, Scotland.<\/p>\n

I am amazed at the ingenuity and skill of many.\u00a0 Some are devising dances for 1 or 2 people, dressing up in suitable costume and videoing the dance.\u00a0 It is really amazing how\u00a0 versatile and varied they are and we can try them out as we stay at home with no dance classes (other than online ones).\u00a0 Maybe there will be an RSCDS book issued for these dances.\u00a0 I am continuing on with the theme of the last newsletter here is another cheery note to try to brighten your day with nothing but pictures, jokes and videos.\u00a0 I hope it finds you all well and that this will lift your spirits.<\/p>\n

Thanks for all the great comments you sent me.\u00a0 I was especially thrilled to get a note (plus pictures) from a couple who had met at one of the Ceilidh dances, got engaged and had me lead some ceilidh dancing at their wedding.\u00a0 They now have a little boy – a shame that the dance this month had to be cancelled as it would have been 12 years (plus a day) since the dance that they met.<\/p>\n

Thanks to those who continue to send jokes, videos, etc. without which these newsletters would not be the same.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>A Scotsman walks into a bank in Glasgow<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and asks for the loan officer.
\nHe tells the loan officer that he is going to Australia on business For two weeks and needs to borrow \u00a35,000.\u00a0<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>
\nThe bank officer tells him that the bank<\/strong> w<\/strong>ill need some form of security for the loan, so the canny Scots lad hands over the keys and documents of new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank.\u00a0 He produces the Log Book and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The bank’s Manager and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the rough looking Scotsman f<\/strong>or using a\u00a0\u00a3120,000 Ferrari<\/strong> a<\/strong>s collateral against a \u00a35000<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>loan.\u00a0 <\/strong>An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari in to the bank’s underground garage and parks it there.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two weeks later, the Scotsman returns, repays the \u00a35,000 and the interest, which comes to \u00a315.41.\u00a0 The loan officer says,<\/strong>\u00a0
\n“Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled.\u00a0 While you were away,
\nwe checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire.\u00a0 So what puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow “\u00a35,000” ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Scotsman replies:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Where else in Glasgow can I park my car for two weeks for only \u00a315.41 and expect it to be there when I return'”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ah, the mind of the Scotsman…\u00a0<\/strong>
