will get back to dancing as, whether we like it or not, we have to say that Scottish ceilidh/country dancing is a contact sport. We may even have to wait for a vaccine. Speaking of which, there is good news coming from the Oxford trials which is on the second test and they have given it to 10,000 people and preliminary results are positive. Here’s hoping for success.

I received some positive comments and requests to continue with these special editions though it is long past the time I would usually take a break from that this will lift your spirits.

We are very fortunate to have a big garden and there is no end of work required in it. That has kept us occupied and , at least to our eyes, looks much on a project of trying to piece some of my father’s letters which he sent to my mother during the war with letters he wrote to my children recounting his war time experiences etc. There are gaps, pages missing, same story told with more information, etc. It is time consuming, frustrating at times but very interesting too. He was a good writer, his penmanship way better than my scribble which is fortunate but occasionally a place name, especially Indian ones, I have to google to get the correct spelling. Then a lot of the names have changed sine the 1943 and, in light of current events, words/language that were used back then is not appropriate now.

We are both well, as are our children and their families. I hope this finds you all well and coping with the current situation. Wherever you are please be careful, keep in touch with others, keep fit and stay safe.

Thanks to those who continue to send jokes, videos, etc.
