her SDB\u00a0 \u00a0Dancers Choice 1<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">We were very sorry that the Ceilidh dance on Friday, October 29, 2021 had to be cancelled.\u00a0 There was so much doubt about &#8220;dancing&#8221; and although we had approval from the BC Ministry of Health we felt we were perhaps stretching the rules too far.\u00a0 It was decided to be safe and cancel the dance.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>We are now planning on re-starting the Ceilidh dances with the last one scheduled for 2021 &#8211; Friday, November 26 &#8211; at the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver.\u00a0 I really hope we can get together then but this will still be subject to Provincial guidelines etc. so check your e-mails &amp; the website for any updates.\u00a0 You can also phone the Scottish Cultural Centre Monday &#8211; Friday between 10 am and 3 pm &#8211; 604-263-9911.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>All those attending will have to have a BC authorized vaccination passport showing you have had two jabs and masks will be <\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>mandatory<\/b><\/span><b> to enter the building and must be worn in the common areas such as corridors and washrooms.\u00a0 We will be taking your names &amp; contact info so you can be reached in the unlikely event that there is an outbreak.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>The dance, and future dances, will be <\/strong><strong>held at the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver but, there is a slight change of time.\u00a0 The class will be held in the large hall from 7;00 &#8211; 7:45 then we will all exit to give the band a chance for a sound check etc. and the dance will run from 8:00 &#8211; 10:30 with live music by Calanais.\u00a0 Alison will continue to be your teacher\/caller so you are guaranteed to have a great evening.\u00a0 No change to the admission &#8211; they keep having them on Wednesday evenings so I have to miss my dance class!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The leaves are still falling and will do so until at least November 15.\u00a0 The colours look nice, at least the big plain tree ones but they tend to blow all over the place and of course the cedars continue to litter everywhere and get into the car, garage and house.\u00a0 When there is a break in the rain I try and brush and\/or blow the paths and decks.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; When the usher came\u00a0 by and noticed this, he whispered to the old man, &#8220;Sorry sir, but you&#8217;re only\u00a0 allowed one seat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The old man groaned\u00a0 but didn&#8217;t budge.<\/p>\n<p>The usher became\u00a0 more impatient. &#8220;Sir, if you don&#8217;t get up from there I&#8217;m going to have to call\u00a0 the manager.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the old man just groaned.<\/p>\n<p>The usher marched\u00a0 briskly back up the aisle, and in a moment he returned with the manager.\u00a0 Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move the old disheveled man, but\u00a0with no success. Finally they summoned the police.<\/p>\n<p>The officer\u00a0 surveyed the situation briefly then asked, &#8220;All right buddy what&#8217;s your\u00a0 name?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fred,&#8221; the old man\u00a0 moaned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Where ya from,\u00a0 Fred?&#8221;
