&#8211; we have musicians, Alison is planning the dances, the liquor licence is arranged, we have volunteers coming to check your vaccination passports (yes you still need to show them) and of course the hall is booked &#8211; so all we need is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">you<\/span>!\u00a0 Please come and support this Ceilidh dance and join in a safe evening of fun and good healthy exercise. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #ccffcc;\"><b>We will still have to conform to the regulations of both the Provincial rules and those of the Scottish Hall.\u00a0 Currently they will mean everyone attending will have to show a vaccine passport and proof of identification and mask wearing\u00a0 will be mandatory except when dancing.<\/b><b>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #ccffcc;\"><b>RSCDS dance classes are starting up again but check the website for the various dates for the different clubs &#8211; www.rscdsvancouver.org.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The 2021\/22 season for Ceilidh Dances are scheduled (all on Friday evenings) as follows:-<\/b><\/p>\n<p>March 25<br \/>\nApril 29<br \/>\nMark your calendars now!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The dances will be classified as a class as all dances will be taught and will be <\/strong><strong>held at the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver but, there is a slight change of time.\u00a0 The class will be held in the large hall from 7:00 &#8211; 7:45 then we will all exit to give the band a chance for a sound check etc. and the dance class will run from 8:00 &#8211; 10:30 with live music by Calanais.\u00a0 Alison will continue to be your teacher\/caller so you are guaranteed to have a great evening.\u00a0 No change to the admission &#8211; background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>In order to keep the Ceilidh Dances running it takes a number of volunteers to do various jobs such as: &#8211; <\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>getting the liquor licence<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>re-stocking the supply of drinks and refreshments and getting them to the hall<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>Filling the water jugs before and during the dance<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>Checking the vaccine passports &amp; identification of all attendees<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>Collecting the entrance fees, keeping track of the number of dancers, reconciling the funds collected, adding the donations, paying the expenses<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\"><strong>Calculating the cost of the drinks used\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\">Etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"background-color: #ffff99;\">Etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; She asked him how he was going to pay for his treatment. &#8220;Do you have health insurance?&#8221; she asked.<\/p>\n<p>He replied in a raspy voice, &#8220;No health insurance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The nun asked, &#8220;Do you have money in the bank?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He replied, &#8220;No money in the bank.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Do you have a relative who could help you with the payments?&#8221; asked the irritated nun.<\/p>\n<p>He said, &#8220;I only have a spinster sister, and she is a nun.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The nun became agitated and announced loudly, &#8220;Nuns are not spinsters!\u00a0 \u00a0Nuns are married to God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The patient replied, &#8220;Perfect. I&#8217;d lose my job! What if something should happen?\u201d protests the driver, wishing he&#8217;d never gone to work that morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWho&#8217;s going to tell?\u201d asks the Pope with a smile.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reluctantly, the driver gets into the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 130 mph.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cPlease slow down, Your Holiness,\u201d pleads the worried driver, but the Pope keeps the pedal to the metal until they hear sirens.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cOh, dear God, I&#8217;m going to lose my license &#8212; and my job!\u201d moans the driver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Pope pulls over and rolls down the window as the cop approaches; but the cop takes one look at him, goes back to his motorcycle, and gets on the radio.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI need to talk to the Chief,\u201d he says to the dispatcher.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Chief gets on the radio and the cop tells him that he&#8217;s stopped a limo going 130 mph.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cSo bust him,\u201d says the Chief.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI don&#8217;t think we want to do that. He&#8217;s really important,\u201d said the cop.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Chief exclaimed, \u201cAll the more reason!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cNo, I mean really important,\u201d
