Less than 2 weeks until the next Ceilidh Dance on Friday, March 31st<\/strong> and I hope you are all planning to attend along with many friends.\u00a0 You all know what a fun night it is and it is pretty reasonable too at $15 or students $10 plus refreshments for a donation.\u00a0 Spring will have sprung and an evening break from studies, work, etc. is needed and the Ceilidh Dance is the perfect thing to clear the mind and refresh the soul<\/p>\n

Ceilidh dances are held in the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver.\u00a0 There is a free class at 7 pm then the dance follows from 8 – 10:30 pm with live music by Calanais.\u00a0 All easy dances that are taught and called and everyone has lots of fun and great exercise.\u00a0 Tell your friends and make it an outing – it only costs $15 ($10 for students) and there are refreshments (including cider & beer) for a donation.\u00a0 <\/span>Remember it is “cash only” both for admittance and the refreshments.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/strong>Mark your calendars now and make plans to join the fun.<\/p>\n

If you have a group of 8 or more then the cost is $1 less for each of you.\u00a0 You have to choose a password, make sure everyone in the group knows what it is then contact me at duncanmackenzie@telus.net at least two days before the dance & let me know you have a group and what the password will be, then you do not need to all arrive together.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Scottish Country dance classes have started up again so check which classes fit your schedule and come along – many first nights are free – check out the new beginner class on the North Shore.<\/p>\n

\n10 years later, the group of\u00a0 35-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally,\u00a0 they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant,
\nbecause the cosmos\u00a0 were good, it was right near the gym and,
\nif they went late enough,\u00a0 there wouldn’t be too many whiny little kids.<\/strong>

\n10 years later, the group of 45-year-old\u00a0 girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally, they agreed to\u00a0 meet at the Ocean View restaurant,
\nbecause the martinis were big,\u00a0 and the waiters wore tight pants and had nice buns.

\n10 years later,\u00a0 the group of 55-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner.\u00a0 Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant,
\nbecause\u00a0 the prices were reasonable, the wine list was good,\u00a0 the restaurant\u00a0 had windows that opened (in case of hot flashes),\u00a0 and they served\u00a0 fish which is good for your cholesterol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

10 years later,\u00a0 the group of 65-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner.\u00a0 Finally, they agreed to\u00a0 meet at the Ocean View restaurant,
\nbecause the lighting was good,\u00a0 and the restaurant had a senior citizen discount.

\n10 years\u00a0 later, the group of 75-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for\u00a0 dinner. Finally, they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant,
\nbecause the food was not too spicy, and the restaurant was\u00a0 handicapped-accessible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

10 years later, the group of\u00a0 85-year-old girlfriends discussed where to meet for dinner. Finally,\u00a0 they agreed to meet at the Ocean View restaurant,
\nbecause they had\u00a0 never been there before.<\/p>\n
