in Glasgow<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px;\">\u00a0What a wonderful summer weatherwise here on the south west coast of Canada<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> it has been so far.\u00a0 No need to cancel any of the Monday nights of dancing in the park where there have been great attendances.\u00a0 They ended on July 20 as the Parks Board did not permit us to hold them longer!!\u00a0 We ended with a bank on a Ceilidh night with Blackthorn playing and nearly 100 dancing as well as a large number of spectators.\u00a0 Many thanks to Alison who spends a great deal of time organising the DITP.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We are very fortunate to have avoided forest fires, floods, excessive heat, etc. and wish all well in other parts of the country and world who are suffering through these disasters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We have enjoyed family visiting from near and far and more to come!\u00a0 We will have all but one &#8211; 7;45 pm followed by the dance from 8 &#8211; 10:30 ish\u00a0 Come and join us for a great evening of dancing, fun and social interaction.\u00a0 As these dances continue to grow in popularity you may need to come early to ensure your place.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">80 Tickets will go on sale online on Monday, Sepember 21 &#8211; watch for a newsletter giving the link etc. &#8211; and another 80 will be sold on the night at the door &#8211; cash or credit.\u00a0 The price is the same bargain $20 ($15 for students)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The dances are held in the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver which is a block north of\u00a0 SW Marine between Granville &amp; After an hour, the man calmly left.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The next night, the man appeared again, once more demanding to see Valerie.<\/p>\n<p>Valerie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row, as she was so expensive. There were no discounts. The price was still \u00a35000.<\/p>\n<p>Again, the man pulled out the money, gave it to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, he left.<\/p>\n<p>The following night the man was there yet again.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Everyone was astounded that he had come for a third consecutive night, but he paid Valerie and they went upstairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After their session, Valerie said to the man, &#8220;No one has ever been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The man replied, &#8221; Edinburgh ..&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Really&#8221;, she said. &#8220;I have family in Edinburgh ..&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know.&#8221; the man said. &#8220;Your sister died, and I&#8217;m her solicitor. The weatherman assured him that there was no chance of rain in the coming days.\u00a0 \u00a0So the king went fishing with his wife, the queen.<\/p>\n<p>On the way he met a farmer on his donkey.\u00a0 Upon seeing the king the farmer said, &#8220;Your Majesty, you should return to the palace at once because in just a short time I expect a huge amount of rain to fall in this area&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The king was polite and considerate, he replied: &#8220;I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an extensively educated and experienced professional. And besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him and I will continue on my way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So he continued on his way.<\/p>\n<p>However, a short time later a torrential rain fell from the sky.<\/p>\n<p>The King and Queen were totally soaked and their entourage chuckled upon seeing them in such a shameful condition.\u00a0 \u00a0Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to fire the professional. Then he summoned the farmer and offered him the prestigious and high paying role of royal forecaster.<\/p>\n<p>The farmer said, &#8220;Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting.
