\"\"<\/a>Summer Isles<\/p>\n

Hi there everyone, I do hope you are having a really great summer.\u00a0\u00a0 We have been spoilt with the wonderful weather but let us not complain as no doubt everything will even out sooner or later.<\/p>\n

This early, abbreviated newsletter is just to check out that everyones addresses are still valid and to give you notice of two upcoming events, as well as to remind you that classes will be starting up in a few weeks.\u00a0\u00a0 I think the earliest to start will be White Rock on Wednesday, September 4 but most classes will start the week beginning Monday, September 9.\u00a0\u00a0 Please check www.rscdsvancouver.org<\/span> for all class locations and times.<\/p>\n

That was a super dance season in the Park with only Fort Langley’s Monday night on June 24 cancelled due to inclement weather.\u00a0\u00a0 Thanks to all who came along to dance and to the teachers who led us each week.\u00a0\u00a0 There was a good deal of interest from the audience so hopefully all classes will get a few new dancers coming along to check out this fantastic pasttime.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Make sure you remind all your friends to come along.<\/p>\n

I shall provide a calendar in the next newsletter but you can check out the Vancouver Branch website at www.rscdsvancouver.org<\/span> for any current happenings, pictures etc.<\/p>\n

Advanced class from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – <\/strong>Advanced dancers are encouraged to stay for the afternoon session to assist beginners.\u00a0 Bring your own lunch and join us during the break from 12:00 p.m. \u2014 1:00 p.m.\u00a0 Tea and coffee as well as juice will be provided.
\nIntermediate and Beginner Dancers will be instructed from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0The instructor said, “Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier.\u00a0 Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops and try to stay on a soft surface like grass or a path.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0“Gentlemen, remember — you’re in this together. It wouldn’t hurt you to go walking with her.\u00a0\u00a0 In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information.\u00a0 After a few moments a man, name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0“Yes?” said the Instructor.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0“I was just wondering if it would be all right if she carries a golf bag…while we walk?”<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0Brings a tear to your eye doesn’t it? This kind of sensitivity just can’t be taught.<\/em><\/p>\n
