Join all your dancing friends at the Highland Games and participate in the “Mass Dancing” at centre stage.   Practises are on Wednesday evenings June 6, 13 & 20 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.   All levels welcome.    Participation entitles you to discounted entry into the Games.
Join in the fun and be part of a great display of Scottish Country Dancing stepping through a programme devised by Mary Murray.

BC Highland Games is on Saturday, June 23 at Percy Peery Stadium in Coquitlam.

Dancing in Stanley Park starts on Monday, June 11 and continues every Monday night from 7 – 9 p.m. (weather permitting) until August 20.

Dancers of all levels are invited to Portland for the 40th Anniversary of T.A.C. Summer School!    What you can expect at the school:

  1. Core dance classes every morning specifically designed for your level.
  2. Optional afternoon classes with a variety of choices including; Highland, Ladies step, Formation Focus, Ball Dance Review, and Music Appreciation.
  3. Four social dances, a concert, ceilidh, Old Time dance and formal ball.
  4. Sightseeing opportunities including the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, Mount Hood, interesting Portland neighborhoods with tax free shopping and much more. Optional group tours will be offered on Wed. afternoon.

Youth Rates
A special feature this year will be YOUTH DISCOUNT RATES!  Those aged 14-30 are encouraged to come, be challenged to improve and have a great time!  Special rates will apply, and scholarships are available.  Check the section on the Bob Blackie fund offered by the T.A.C. or go to the RSCDS website to see the scholarships available there, and send in your application.

Thanks to Paul for many, many hours of work I hope that this new method of distributing the newsletter will prove successful and that this webpage will be one you visit often.
As you can see you all have to “subscribe” to the newsletter and you can choose which version you would prefer – graphics or text only.   You will then get an acknowledgement e-mail and you must “click” on the link in this e-mail to validate your subscription.
This page, hopefully, will get better as time goes on – at least that is my aim.
