I send good wishes to Paul, who recently went into a hospice, along with my heartfelt thanks for all the work he has done over the years to set up and maintain this newsletter.  Paul is a wonderful person who always has time for everyone.  He is gracious, kind, very patient and the true definition of a gentleman.  Blessings to you and your family.


The next Ceilidh Dance is Friday, September 29, 2023.   

Please check the newsletter and check your emails and this website for any last minute changes.  

Ceilidh dances are are held in the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver with the class starting at 7 p.m. and the dance from 8 – 10:30 p.m. all for the amazing price of $15 (students $10).  Note this is a CASH ONLY event.

Everyone welcome, no experience or partner required – we teach you almost everything!! Loads of fun and live music too with the resident Ceilidh Band “Calanais.” 

Future Ceilidh Dances (all on the last Friday of the month) are:

Come Scottish Country Dancing; join one of the many clubs in the Lower Mainland and elsewhere throughout the Province and world-wide.  For all information go to  https://www.rscdsvancouver.org – you never know you might like it!

It is never too late to join in the fun. Plan on coming along to the location near or convenient for you and find out what this great pastime is all about. Most clubs offer the first night FREE!!! Ceilidh Dance dates are all on Fridays and all at the Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver with a class from 7 – 7:45 p.m. and the dance with the live music by Calanais from 8 – 10:30 p.m. and all for the amazing price of $15 (students $10):
